Good information about the Snap program. I have volunteered with the Health and human services and helped individuals complete their application for the assistance. It is a great program that is offered to help families that are in need. It really hit home when you were discussing the individuals that are in serious need of the food bank because they have run out of their Snap benefits for the month and the money is gone. I have known many families that have gone through this situation. It is heart breaking to know that there are families out there struggling in this manner. During your presentation you mentioned that we would be better volunteers if we looked at things from their (families in need) prospective. This is very true. If we can understand where others are coming from then we can better assist them with their needs and be more compassionate towards their situation. Great presentation!
